WHAT WE DO

Our Approach

Helping to put to rest the last ghosts of war.

WLP works with other non-governmental organizations, veterans, the media, researchers, students, and Vietnamese specialists to raise awareness about the on-going impacts of war in Southeast Asia.

Events

WLP coordinates speaking engagements for visiting specialists from Southeast Asia, film screenings, forums, and conferences focused on the on-going impacts of war.  Our staff also participates in conference and speaks to students about the health and environmental impacts of Agent Orange/Dioxin.

Media

WLP works with journalists, film makers and photographers who are producing pieces about the ongoing impacts of war in Southeast Asia. We have contributed to pieces in the New York Times, Chicago Tribune, AP, Reuters, Huffington Post, Newsweek, Time, Star Tribune, Vanity Fair, BBC, NPR, National Geographic, and many other outlets.

Public Policy

WLP works with other US organizations working to address the ongoing impacts of war to encourage the US government to clean-up dioxin hotspots, remove explosive remnants of war, provide assistance to UXO survivors, fund programs to assist people with disabilities believed to be impacted by Agent Orange/Dioxin, and to support US Vietnam veterans exposed to Agent Orange.

Exhibits

WLP helps coordinate exhibits of photographs and art work addressing the on-going impacts of war.  Particularly the impacts of Agent Orange/Dioxin. Contact Susan Hammond at info@warlegaices.org for more information about how we can help bring an exhibit to your area.
