Over 20 million gallons of herbicides were sprayed over Southeast Asia during the war. Two-thirds were contaminated with dioxin that continues to impact the people and the land today at home and abroad where these herbicides were sprayed, stored and manufactured. For more information about the ongoing impacts of Agent Orange check out WLP's website dedicatated to the topic http://www.agentorangerecord.com.
Cambodia, Laos and Vietnam have the distinction of being the most bombed countries on earth. Millions of cluster munitions, landmines and other explosive remnants of war litter the countryside. Hundreds of people are injured or killed each year, including many children. WLP works with organizations that are providing assistance to impacted communities. We also advocate for the US government to sign the Mine Ban Treaty and the Cluster Munitions Ban Treaty.
